Job Description

The Assistant Registrar at Model Institute of Engineering & Technology will be responsible for assisting with the management of academic records, course registration, student enrollment processes, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements. The Assistant Registrar works closely with faculty, and staff to provide outstanding service and maintain the integrity of academic data.



Key Responsibilities

Enrollment and Registration Management:

  •  Assist with the planning and coordination of course registration periods.
  • Provide guidance to students regarding registration procedures, course selection, and prerequisite requirements.
  • Maintain and update student enrollment records in the institution's student information system (SIS).
  • Process add/drop requests, withdrawal forms, and course changes in a timely manner.

Academic Records and Data Integrity:

  • Maintain accurate student records, including transcripts, grades, academic standing, and other academic information.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of student records in accordance with institutional policies.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Assist with compliance reporting for accreditation bodies, and institutional stakeholders.
  • Prepare data for internal and external reporting requirements, including enrollment statistics, graduation rates, and other institutional metrics.
  • Stay informed of updates and changes in institutional regulations regarding academic records and enrollment processes.

Student Services and Support:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for students, faculty, and staff regarding registration and academic records inquiries.
  • Provide accurate and timely responses to student requests for enrollment verification, transcript requests, and other academic records-related services.
  • Assist with graduation audits and preparation of diplomas for graduating students.

Technology and Systems Management:

  • Assist with the maintenance and enhancement of the student information system (SIS) to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to registration and academic records systems and collaborate with IT support when necessary.
