Job Description
MIET(Autonomous) is seeking highly qualified individual to join our esteemed institution as Professor/Head of Department within the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, adhering to the eligibility criteria stipulated by AICTE. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to academia through research, teaching, and mentorship, while fostering a dynamic learning environment for students. The ideal candidate would have proven research credentials with publications in SCI/SCIE/Scopus indexed Journals and passion for teaching using modern teaching pedagogies.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Mentorship:
- Design and deliver undergraduate courses in Electronics & Communication Engineering, ensuring the syllabus aligns with academic and industry standards.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies and tools to enhance learning outcomes.
- Guide and mentor students on academic projects, internships, and career development.
Research and Development:
- Conduct cutting-edge research in core and interdisciplinary areas of Electronics & Communication Engineering, such as VLSI, Embedded Systems, IoT, 5G/6G Communications, Signal Processing, and AI in ECE.
- Publish high-quality research papers in reputed journals and present findings at national and international conferences.
- Collaborate with industries, research organizations, and funding agencies for research grants and sponsored projects.
Curriculum Development:
- Regularly update the curriculum to incorporate emerging technologies and global trends in Electronics & Communication Engineering.
- Design and develop new courses, laboratories, and training programs based on industry requirements.
Institutional and Academic Leadership:
- Take an active role in departmental and institutional planning, decision-making, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Lead the development of academic policies, strategies, and partnerships to improve the department's academic and research standing.
- Act as a mentor to junior faculty members, fostering their professional growth and academic contributions.
Industry and Community Engagement:
- Build strong industry-academia collaborations to facilitate internships, live projects, and guest lectures for students.
- Organize technical workshops, seminars, and conferences to engage with the academic and professional community.
- Contribute to societal development by promoting projects and activities that address real-world challenges.
Professional Development:
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Electronics & Communication Engineering and related fields through continuous learning.
- Actively participate in professional bodies and associations like IEEE, IETE, and others to contribute to the academic community.
